I’m a newbie at buying sales leads and would like to get a feel for what to expect. Can you purchase one set of leads and be good for a time? Or, should I plan on purchasing leads over a period of time to be effective? Can anyone shed some light on the process? Thanks!

Feedback: It is all about the quality of the sales leads.
Is the information in a usable format? Will you have to do lots of re-formatting work?
How much information do you get regarding each lead? Is the information up to date? Is anything important missing? Will you have to do more work before using the lead?
What do the leads say when you contact them? Are they right for your product or service? Are they in the right demographic and regional / global area?
The most important question is: do they buy from you? What proportion buy from you? What is the cost of acquisition for each lead? What is the return on your investment in buying the leads?
Just buy a few leads from the source and assess them using the above criteria.
